Chemical Peel

Chemical Peel is a cosmetic treatment that involves applying a chemical solution, which will cause old and dying skin cells to be exfoliated and peel off. Doing so allows fresh, smoother skin to resurface. Typically, glycolic acid or trichloroacetic acid in varying strengths are used, depending on the layer of skin that is targeted.

Chemical peel is recommended for patients who seek treatment for uneven skin tones, fine lines and wrinkles, and acne.

Prior the procedure, the patient is asked to wash their faces thoroughly and remove any traces of makeup.

We provide a wide range of minimally invasive procedures to enhance one’s face and body with safe and beautiful outcomes.

Once the skin is prepared, a chemical solution is applied and left on the skin for 2-4 minutes. During that time, the patient will only experience slight tingling sensation over the skin. Hence, usually, no topical anesthesia is necessary. After 2-4 minutes, the chemical will be neutralized and washed away. The procedure takes around 15 minutes.

Chemical peel is an outpatient treatment that has minimal downtime with most patients only experiencing mild redness post-procedure.

Patients can continue with their routine skin care regime post-procedure with the exception of avoiding facials for around 2 weeks post-procedure. Results can be seen after around 2 weeks post-procedure.
