Breast Reduction in Singapore

What Is Breast Reduction?
For many women, overly large breasts are not simply a cosmetic concern. The weight can pull the shoulders forward and tighten the neck, creating chronic pain that lingers long after the day ends. Exercise may feel difficult or even impossible. Skin can chafe in the crease beneath the breast, bras dig into the shoulders, and clothing choices become more about accommodation than preference. Some women also experience shortness of breath when lying flat or fatigue from constantly compensating for the strain on their upper body. These pressures add up over time and can limit both comfort and self-confidence.
Breast reduction surgery addresses these issues at their source. The procedure reduces excess glandular tissue, fat and skin to lighten the breasts and restore better balance with the rest of the body. Rather than simply making the breasts smaller, the surgeon reshapes them, refines their contour and repositions the nipple-areola complex so that the result looks natural and proportionate. Each reduction is individually planned according to the patient’s symptoms, anatomy and lifestyle, which allows the outcome to support both comfort and aesthetics.
When the physical burden is lifted, many patients notice a marked change in their daily lives. Movement feels easier, exercise becomes more accessible, clothing fits as intended and posture improves. Alongside these functional benefits, many women describe a renewed sense of ease in their bodies. Breast reduction surgery offers more than a change in size. It offers relief, balance and a return to comfort that had slowly been lost over the years.
We provide a range of procedures to enhance the appearance of one’s breasts with beautiful and natural-looking outcomes.

You are a good candidate for breast reduction if:
- You have a heavy hanging breasts that are out of proportion with the rest of your body.
- You suffer from chronic neck, shoulder, or back pain due to the weight of your breasts.
- You are always passing up strapless dresses and blouses, because they simply don’t fit well.
Breast reduction and lifting involves the removal of excess fat, skin, and breast tissue from the breast region. The procedure is generally done as an outpatient under general anesthesia or intravenous sedation.
The surgery time varies from 1.5 to 4 hours depending on the size of the breast. Various incisions may be used. This includes the peri-areolar, "lollipop" or the inverted T incision. Sometimes drains are inserted for 1-2 days to allow drainage of excess body fluid. There will be a waterproof dressing over the incisions for about 2 weeks. The stitches are removed after 2 weeks and the incision wound can be left exposed.
Depending on an individual basis, this procedure may be medisave or insurance claimable.
