Bullhorn Lip Lift

The philtrum refers to the skin between the nose and upper lip. As one ages, the philtral length increases.

The ideal philtral length in females is 11-13 mm and 13-15 mm in males. An excessive philtral length makes one appear old. It further distorts the harmony and aesthetics of one’s face. Patients also complain of inability to show their teeth when they smile and their upper lip appears very thin and hollowed.

The bullhorn lip lift is an elective cosmetic surgery that shortens the philtral length and makes the upper lip appear fuller and more pronounced. All this without the use of volumizer like fillers! It is performed under local anesthesia and takes around 30-45 minutes to complete. Stitches are usually removed after 10 days.

The scar is usually imperceptible as it is well hidden within the nasal base. Post-surgery , patients will be prescribed with in-house scar and lightening creams and laser therapy may be performed if needed.
